Key players for the Nat. team after IPL-7

With the IPL-7 already into its second leg, it has very much been a team effort by all teams unlike a single player like Gayle taking a team all the way, except for Maxwell. So once the extravaganza is over and after things settle down a bit, the players will be back to cement their place in their national side for the World Cup next year.

Here are some of the players who will definitely feature in the WC-15 :

       Glenn Maxwell :

Surely he is the easiest to fill the list for, he has been in such great form! he’s amassed over 350+ runs with just 6 games played and will definitely cement his place in the Australian squad. For only the IPL viewers, he may seem as an obvious choice but it isn’t the case actually. Maxi has been in and out of the team so many teams since his debut. But with the form he is in, he is definitely going to be a key player for the Kangaroos. Don’t be surprised if he is even made the deputy to George Bailey.

      James Faulkner :

He is just in the same category as Glenn Maxwell. So no need to explain much about him.

      Yuzvendra Chahal :

Although he still has a very big mountain to climb, there is no reason to deny the talented youngster a chance, at least in the initial squad. He brings the depth as a genuine leggie that India has been lacking since Kumble’s departure. By far, he is the best revelation in the IPL-7 So why can’t the selectors give him a chance instead of picking up Mishra for warming the bench!

     Sanju Samson :

Everybody knows how good he is. One needn’t look further than the Rajasthan Royals’ squad to hand over the game to the next generation. Everybody from Steve Smith to Samson has been nurtured by the Royals. Age isn’t a factor if talent can make up for it.

Let’s all wish that everybody continuously plays well for their teams to earn a call up to their national squads.

Unknown foreign players to watchout for this in IPL-7

Hi friends…the below are not so popular foreign cricketers who will surely surprise everyone with their performances…Not exactly ‘unknown’ maybe less popular would be more apt.

Matt Henry :

The canny south paw from New Zealand who constantly clocks at over 140 kmph was a surprise buy from the Chennai Super kings. When every team was eager to just finish off the tiresome day,CSK out of nowhere snapped up Henry for just the base price of 30 Lakhs. He had a memorable debut for the kiwis with a 4 wicket haul.Being a reliable bowling all-rounder,Henry is definitely going to be a gem for the MSD led side.Perhaps this is the advantage of having your senior as your interviewer…..(Stephen Fleming).Don’t be surprised if Dhoni tosses the ball to this guy to start the innings!

John Hastings :

Another unknown commodity, snapped up by the clever Chennai Super kings.Standing tall at 196 cms,John is a clever allrounder who can strike the ball very hard in the death overs. He had his breakthrough when he became Victoria’s leading wicket taker across all formats! He can be best compared to the Sri Lankan southpaw,Thissara Perera.Watch out for Hastings to make his mark in this edition.

Chris Lynn :

An explosive top order batsmen,Lynn was a surprise buy by the Knights. At just the age of 24,Lynn has got plenty to offer to for his Australian side as well as the KKR.Even though they have always had a strong squad on paper,KKR have always failed to deliver it on the big occassions except for their title winning performance a couple of years ago.Look forward to Lynn bringing in the fire-power to propel KKR for their second title.

Marchant De lange :

Although he has been around for some time now in the IPL,he’s yet to mark his name. The right arm quickie from South Africa is in many ways similar to his team-mate Morne morkel. He can bowl at over 140 kmph and can extract good bounce as well. His batting abilities also provide very valuable for Mumbai’s title hopes who has already got an explosive arsenal of attacks!

Beuran Hendricks :

The South African is a regular in the playing XI of the Cobras, though he is an unknown commodity in the IPLHis ability to swing the ball both ways, bowl beautiful slower balls, makes him a terrific death bowler. In a

UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals

Wow ,wow, wow!! What a contrasting results from the first two QF’s and the next two…While both of Atletico and Barca’s and Bayern and Manu’s QF’s ended in draws,The Thiago Silva led French giants,PSG cruised past Jose’s side with little ease…The French opened their account with less than 4 mins in to the game, thanks to a venomous volley from Lavezzi…The men in blues soon found them back into the game after Silva fouled Oscar in the box..Hazard converted the spot-kick.But it was all PSG from then on.Even though they lost their red hot striker Ibra in the second half, they cruised past Chelsea,3-1

The things didn’t go well for the other visitors too, Borussia Dortmund as they were handed out a 3-0 thrashing from the hands of Los Blancos.Without their star man Lewa,BVB were drastically weakened from their last meeting against Real, where they thrashed the spanish giants 4-1.

So I don’t think so neither of the visitors can turn the tide with such a deficit heading into the second leg. Here are my picks : PSG,RMA,BM,FCB

So good luck to all the teams!!
